AAD Invest Group would like to clarify the club's current situation and the steps being taken to ensure its long-term future.
Ghent, December 10, 2024 -
Following the hearing held this morning at the Ghent court, and the wish expressed by the administrators to file for bankruptcy of KMSK Deinze, AAD Invest Group would like to clarify the club's current situation and the steps taken to ensure its continued existence.
On December 3, AAD Invest Group informed the administrators of KMSK Deinze of its decision to sell the club. This decision is the result of protracted administrative difficulties and discriminatory behaviour which have hampered the implementation of our project. Following this announcement, we immediately took steps to identify a serious buyer capable of guaranteeing a stable future for KMSK Deinze.
British-American investors Charter HCP Ltd expressed their interest by sending a formal letter of intent to AAD Invest Group.
In the interests of transparency and due diligence, our lawyer, Maître Châteaux, contacted the administrators in order to organize the sale of shares, examine the financial guarantees offered by Charter HCP Ltd and avoid any bankruptcy proceedings.
Discussions between Charter HCP Ltd and the club's administrators and employees began on Friday December 6. However, at this morning's hearing, the administrators publicly stated that no buyer had come forward, while maintaining their bankruptcy proceedings.
We have convincing evidence to show :
These actions demonstrate blatant bad faith and have seriously hampered our efforts to finalize the transfer and avoid such an unfortunate outcome as bankruptcy.
Since our arrival in November, we have devoted time, energy and resources to stabilizing KMSK Deinze and ensuring its survival. Unfortunately, our initiatives have been systematically hampered by administrative obstacles and behaviour that runs counter to the club's interests.
